As the leaves begin to change and the kids go back to school, FCC celebrates the change of season with a church picnic, which weather permitting is held on the church front lawn.
FCC is always excited to participate each September with the wider Bristol community in the Bristol Mum Parade.
In thanksgiving for God's abundant blessings, the FCC community gathers for Harvest brunch each November. Harvest Brunch is a wonderful time to connect with others and share in a delicious meal.
Every Thanksgiving, the Bristol Interfaith Coalition gathers people of many faiths together to give thanks for God's blessings.
On the first Saturday of December, FCC hosts a Festival of Food Creations and a Christmas Fair. Every year, individuals and community groups make wonderful creations out of food and then the wider Bristol community is invited to come see them and vote for their favorite with money. All money raised at the Festival of Food Creation is donated to St. Vincent DePaul Homeless Shelter.
In addition to the Festival, there is also a Christmas fair with a holiday boutique for shopping, free pictures with Santa, free children's crafts to make and take home, and a bake sale.
A service of healing and hope, Blue Christmas is a lovely, quiet worship service where all are invited to experience God’s healing spirit through music, candle lighting, prayer, and calm. A light dinner reception follows the service in the Auditorium.
Like the magi were led by a star, on Star Gift Sunday, all are invited to be Spirit led and choose a paper star with a guiding word and scripture passage on it to lead them in the new year. A wonderful part of the star gift tradition is people sharing about their previous year's star gift.
Every year, rain or shine, FCC holds a church tag sale and invites others to reserve a space and host their own tag sales.
