Worship and praising God is at the heart of FCC’s Christian community. Every Sunday, at 10am, in person and online, we gather to sing, pray, and be nurtured by God’s Word and spirit.
Like many Protestant churches, FCC celebrates two sacraments: communion and baptism.
Celebrated on a monthly basis, all people are welcome to receive communion at Christ’s table. Through the different gluten and gluten-free options, we give thanks that God has created us wonderfully unique, and as we join together in this communion meal, we remember we are one united body of Christ.
FCC welcomes all people to be baptized, at any age. For further details about baptism, please click here.
Music is a powerful way we give glory to God and experience God’s Holy Spirit. In worship, we sing a variety of music, accompanied by organ, piano, or guitar.
FCC’s choirs, the Youth Choir, Handbell Choir, and Spirit Choir, enhance FCC’s worship as choir members also grow in faith and music skills. The Youth Choir welcomes all in 2nd-8th grade. The Handbell and Spirit choirs welcome all who are 12 and older. No prior music background or skills are needed to join in making a joyful noise to God. Please check the calendar under Events for a calendar of choir rehearsals.
FCC is an intergenerational community of faith, inviting people of all ages to participate in worship, community, and service. During worship, children may also wish to participate in Kids’ Club or Kids’ Creative Corner.
Kid’s Club is an opportunity for preschool through 8th grade students (3 years old to 14 years old) to gather for a Bible story, to make a craft, and/or play a game. Mid-way through the worship service, following the Passing of the Peace, children and youth are invited to go to Kids’ Club.
On Sundays when there is not Kids’ Club or if children and youth wish to remain in worship on a Kid’s Club Sunday, the Kids’ Creative Corner has coloring pages, books, toys, and a craft activity, which kids can do at the Creative Corner table or at their seat.
Youth in 8th and 9th grade are invited to continue nurturing their Christian faith journeys through Confirmation classes. Throughout the four units of Confirmation classes, Confirmands explore the Bible, the Church, our life as Christian disciples, and what we and they believe about God.
On Monday mornings, from 9-10am, FCC’s Bible study gathers to read scripture and share about how God’s Word connects to our modern lives. No preparation or even Bible is needed to attend. Some participants come every week, and others come when their schedule permits. Regardless, Bible Study is always a time of faith nurture as well as a time of community and laughter.
FCC’s Prayer Team gathers in two ways: through a text thread and once a month following worship on Sunday morning. You are invited to join either and help pray for the many concerns of our lives and the world. You are also invited to share a prayer request and have the Prayer Team pray for you and your joy or concern. Please click here to share a prayer request: click here.
